A little background on my skin: I have acne-prone, combination skin. I started breaking out really bad around the time I was 13. When I say I broke out bad, I mean bad. I was dubbed “pizza face” by classmates because of how bad my skin was. I can’t even say I only broke out on my T zone or just my cheeks, because I got it everywhere, forehead, cheeks, temples, everywhere.
When I got into high school I decided enough was enough. I began searching the Internet high and low looking for something that suited my skin and would help to clear it up. In my search, I discovered that Sephora has a quiz that will give you product recommendations based on your skin type and your skin concerns. I took the quiz, and read countless reviews on products before deciding on the one I wanted to buy, which was DERMAdoctor’s Ain’t Misbehavin’ Medicated Acne Control Serum.
I will swear by this product. I genuinely believed that it saved my skin. I know the price seems high, but a little bottle lasts me about a month and a half to two months. Also, with the results it gives, the price is definitely worth it. Within a month of using it, almost all of my acne had cleared up. Within a couple months, all of my discoloration from scarring was also gone. I also got my boyfriend to start using it, and it completely cleared up his skin, too.
So, now onto my routine. (Which is the same morning and night)
I wash my face with whatever face wash I have at the moment, like St Ives Apricot Scrub. Right now I’m using a scrub by the brand Equate. After that, I put on my DERMAdoctor serum. Just one pump is enough to cover my entire face. I let that sit for a couple minutes before applying Cetaphil face lotion. And thats it! Three steps and I’m done. It’s simple and easy, but it really does work!
