I’ve always wanted to go into Boots. To me, it seemed like a magical place full of amazing products not accessible to Americans. That probably seems so weird to anyone who actually has a Boots, but being from the US, I can’t get to one without crossing the Atlantic. Everyone I follow on YouTube and a ton of bloggers constantly talk about going to Boots and all the amazing goodies they get from there. So when I was in Ireland and London, I made it my mission to get to a Boots and check out two brands that I’ve heard people rave about but can’t get here: No. 7 and Collection.
The two things in particular that I wanted to get were the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and the No. 7 eyeshadow stick. The first Boots I went into didn’t have any of the Collection concealers in stock, they were sold out in every color, but they did have the eyeshadow sticks. After staring at all the options for far too long, I finally settled on the color Cool Mink. When I went to the register to check out, the clerk told me I could get a free No. 7 gift box if I bought one more No. 7 product. So I went back to grab another stick, and ended up not being able to decide on one color, so I got two more, Pink Pearl and Coffee Bean.
Can I just say how amazing these are? They are so long lasting, like it took a day and a half for the swatches to get off my hands completely. They’re that good. I love using these all over the lid and buffing a matte shadow into the crease, or just using the shadow stick alone for a quick look. I do find that I have to use a primer under these, but I have to under all cream shadows. These are seriously amazing, and if you can get your hands on them, I definitely recommend grabbing a few!
The No. 7 gift box I got included four things, a mini mascara, a sunscreen mini, a sample lipgloss, and a full sized eyeliner. I haven’t used the sunscreen yet, but I’ve been carrying it around in my purse for an emergency. I’m not crazy about the mascara, I find that it’s really nice for separating clumpy lashes, but definitely can’t be used alone because it makes my lashes look way too spidery. The eyeliner is really pretty and creamy, but I haven’t gotten around to using it yet because it’s metallic purple. The lipgloss is a peach color, but I love using it over liquid lipsticks. It keeps my lips not feeling dry but my lipstick still lasts all day!
I was still on the hunt for the Collection concealer. After checking three more Boots around London and Dublin, I finally found a store with all the shades of the Collection concealer in stock. I picked up the color Fair 1, so it would be a little lighter on me and I could use it as a highlighter under the eyes. I’ve only worn it a few times, but I really like it! It’s super creamy and doesn’t crease!
Have you tried any of these products? If you haven’t, which do you want to try?
