Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette Review

becca faceLet me just start out by saying that I love Jaclyn. I think she has such an amazing personality and she is so talented. I love Champagne Pop, so when I heard she was releasing a whole collection, I knew I had to get my hands on it. I was lucky enough to get this during the pre-sale on the app, so I beat the big rush on this. When the palette got delivered to my house, I had just left for vacation, so I had to wait two weeks to officially get my hands on this beauty.

This palette has two highlighters and three blushes in it. The original Champagne Pop is in here, as well as the newest edition to the highlight family, Prosecco Pop, which is a warm, medium gold. The three blushes are Amaretto, which is an almond color that almost looks more like a bronzer than a blush, Pamplemousse, which is a warm coral pink, and Rose Spritz, which is a peach with gold shimmer.

The packaging of this is super cute, however the top of the outside feels a little cheap to me. The white top part is coming up a little in the corners on mine, and anything that I set on top of it ends up getting stuck to the packaging, which is really weird. But the case itself is really sturdy and includes a huge mirror, which I really like.

The formula of the products is really nice, but they don’t seem as buttery as the Champagne Pop single, these are more on the dry side. Don’t get me wrong, I would not classify these as dry and patchy at all. They just aren’t up to my normal Becca standards. They’re still good quality, though. Also, I don’t know if anyone else has had this problem, but my palette smells. Badly. It has a really strong chemical scent that’s almost overwhelming every time that I open the palette.

The colors are all really pretty, but they all lean warm, so if you’re someone who doesn’t suit warm tones, this won’t be for you. My favorite out of this palette would definitely have to be Rose Spritz. I love the color on my cheeks and the glow that it gives.

Overall, I like this palette, I don’t have anything like it in my collection, however I think a lot of the colors could be easily duped. I could have done without Amaretto in the palette, because I don’t think I’ll get a lot of wear out of it. It’s not brown enough to be a bronzer, but it’s too dark to be a blush on me.

If you’re someone who loves Jaclyn Hill and loves Becca Cosmetics, I would say go for this palette. If you love warm blushes and highlighters, go for it and get this. But if you’re on the fence about it, you could probably skip it. The formula is great but not insanely buttery, and the colors are all gorgeous, but easily duped.

    1. Yeah, this palette is definitely good for the coral lovers out there! And I got the eyeshadow, too! Hopefully yours isn’t dry like so many peoples’ are!

  1. I legit just saw the photo and gasped out loud. I don’t own any Becca Products just because the price tag out here in Aussie Land is an insult to my bank account. Champagne pop is beautiful so maybe I might just grab the single of that one! Great Review 🙂
