Happy May! I hope everyone is having a wonderful and warm spring. My days are alternating between gorgeous and sunny to freezing and windy. But I’ll take any warmth I can get. This past month I have been trying out loads of new products, and there have been a couple that really stood out to me. There’s also a few oldie but goodies in here, too. A lot of these products were mentioned in my Spring Makeup post (you can check that out here) which is because I love them so much and have been using them loads.
Too Faced Melted Lipstick – Peony ($21 at Sephora)
I had heard so many people raving about these, and I kept telling myself I’d buy one, but never really got around to it. I ended up picking this up at Ulta (shown in this haul) when I went crazy makeup shopping. At first I bought the color Sugar, and then I got home, tried it on and realized it matched my skin perfectly. Like, if you didn’t know better you might have thought I had concealer on my lips. So I ended up going back and switching it out for Peony. Guys. It’s honestly the best lipstick I’ve ever worn. It’s not sticky at all, it’s really moisturizing and comfortable to wear on the lips and it’s super long lasting. The color is a bright pink, which is so pretty and perfect for spring. If there was ever a product that you get off my recommendation, it’s this. Seriously. Go try it out and you’ll be converted forever.
Too Faced Sweethearts Blush – Candy Glow ($30 at Sephora)
I picked this up for half off at Ulta during their 21 days of beauty and have been using it so much lately. I love the way it looks on my cheeks, it’s the perfect pink flush, not too shimmery or too matte. There’s three colors in the pan, that you can use separately or together, I usually mix them together.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter – Moonstone ($38 at Sephora)
This has officially become my favorite highlighter of life. I haven’t had it too long and it’s already taken quite the beating. I dropped my makeup bag (with this in it) and it cracked slightly, and then when I was rubbing the crack back together I scratched it and took out a chunk of product. Needless to say it was a rough day for me. Anyways, I love the color of this because it matches my skin really well so the color blends in perfectly. It isn’t too in your face and doesn’t make my face look like it has a stripe on it. It just gives the prettiest highlight.
Bourjois Bronzing Powder ($13 at ASOS)
I know this bronzer is available at drugstores in most countries, but if you’re in the US you can get it from ASOS. I’ve had this for a couple months, and find myself using this more and more lately. It gives such a nice, subtle sun kissed look. It’s especially nice if you’re on the paler side like me, because it doesn’t look orange at all. My boyfriend compliments me every time I wear this because of the bronze glow it gives my skin. This bronzer is super affordable, so definitely check it out!
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion ($17 at Ulta)
I mentioned this in my last favorites, but I use it so much that I had to give it another shout out. All you do is take a Q Tip and dip it in the pink goo at the bottom, and dab it on any blemishes before bed. When you wake up, the pimple is either gone or significantly smaller. I use this almost every night on any existing pimples or ones I feel coming on and it helps so much. I definitely recommend this to anyone who suffers from acne or occasional breakouts.
What have you guys been loving this month?

I spy the Real Techniques brushes!! Aren’t they the best! I just put them in myApril favorites, I had really been missing out by not discovering them before.
Does the Bourjois bronzer come across as orange at all? I have very fair skin and I want to try it so bad, but a lot of bronzers come across as orange on my skin tone. I’ve heard such good reviews of it!
Love the details of each product, makes me want to pick some up ☺

I haven’t had any problems with it appearing orange and I’m pretty pale (NC15 in MAC for reference), so I think you should be good!

Thank you! What brush do you use for contour?

I use the Lorac brush that comes with the contour kit. I have the bold metals contour brush and sometimes I use that to blend out the line, but I’m not the biggest fan of that brush
